With the overall aim of forging stronger links between voluntary organisations and South Yorkshire's public and private sectors, it aims to provide a single point of contact when it comes to finding resources, support and information about potential partners.
Feedback from voluntary organisations has indicated, that working in partnership with public sector bodies can help them to deliver core services more effectively. From community regeneration to specialist childcare and welfare, it plays a vital part in strengthing local communities.
The third sector includes a range of dynamic social enterprise and not-for-profit organisations which together helped to create a turnover of over £840m during the last financial year alone.
